Keith-Tjedu Tapela

Founder, Executive Director & Group CEO

Keith-Tjedu Tapela is the Founder, Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Radah Dynamics Global, where he leads the development of institutional platforms that mobilise capital, strategic partnerships and technical capability for Africa’s long-term development.

With an academic background in politics, philosophy and economics, Keith brings a multidisciplinary approach to infrastructure development, investment strategy and institutional design. His work focuses on creating bankable structures that connect African governments, state-owned entities, development institutions and private-sector sponsors with international capital and strategic partners.

Under his leadership, Radah Dynamics is building a portfolio across infrastructure finance, energy, strategic resources, telecommunications and future focused education. Keith’s role centres on originating opportunities, assembling institutional partnerships, structuring financing platforms and guiding transactions from strategic concept through to investment readiness.

His leadership philosophy is grounded in the belief that Africa’s development requires more than capital alone. It requires disciplined structures, credible governance, capable institutions and long term alignment between public and private interests.

Keith is committed to building enduring African institutions and helping shape the frameworks through which the continent’s infrastructure, industries and human capital are financed, developed and governed. He represents a new generation of African leadership: commercially disciplined, globally connected and guided by a strong sense of purpose.

Chief Operating Officer

Michael Samushonga

Michael Samushonga believes that if an opportunity doesn’t exist, you create it.

Before boardrooms, investors and mining projects, he was knocking on doors. That persistence helped him build his first business to more than £250,000 profit in its first year through door knocking alone; a lesson that still shapes how he operates today. If there’s a conversation to have, a partnership to build or a market to enter, he’ll find a way to open the door. The same mindset that took him door knocking years ago still drives him today: show up, create conversations and build where others see obstacles.

Since then, Michael has negotiated seven-figure music deals, contributed to more than £100 million in real estate transactions, and introduced international investors in technology and telecommunications to the Republic of Zimbabwe. Across every industry, his approach remains the same: build relationships, solve problems and create value.

As Chief Operating Officer of Radah Dynamics, Michael leads strategy, market expansion, investor relations and commercial partnerships across gold mining, cement distribution, real estate and agriculture; with projects spanning the UK, Turkey, Zimbabwe, Zambia and the Dominican Republic.

Mentored by Algy Cluff; the entrepreneur behind Freda Rebecca and Lord Michael Hastings. Michael Samushonga has built his approach around patience, integrity and long-term value creation.

His work has been featured on the BBC’s Crazy Rich Agents and profiled in The Sunday Times.

Executive Chairman

Advocate Cawe Mahlati

Advocate Cawe Mahlati is a senior lawyer, board director, corporate adviser and institutional strategist whose experience spans intellectual property, telecommunications, broadcasting, corporate governance, investment structuring and cross-border commercial development.

Her career includes international and South African experience with organisations such as IBM in the United States, Borden Inc. and M-Net, where she has held a longstanding board role. She was closely involved in the formative expansion of satellite broadcasting and telecommunications across Africa, including the early deployment of GSM-related infrastructure and services.

As part of M-Net and MultiChoice’s African expansion team, Advocate Mahlati led regulatory and institutional mapping across 42 African jurisdictions. Her work included identifying credible local partners, navigating country-specific ownership and equity requirements, securing regulatory alignment and developing localisation structures that enabled the group’s expansion across the continent.

She was also involved in the launch of a PanAmSat geostationary satellite in French Guiana, which supported the broader development of satellite broadcasting and communications services associated with M-Net’s international and African growth.

Advocate Mahlati previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the Gauteng Tourism Authority and was appointed to the Board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation in 2011. Her broader advisory experience includes mineral-resource investment, corporate finance, governance frameworks, legal and transaction structuring, institutional stakeholder management and the formation of strategic local partnerships.

She brings particular value to organisations operating in regulated or politically complex sectors, where commercial execution must be aligned with government policy, regulatory requirements, local participation and long term institutional credibility.

Non-Executive Director

Simisani Kupe

Simisani Kupe is an African investment banker, infrastructure investor and mining executive with experience spanning project finance, public-private partnerships, capital markets, mineral development and cross-border investment structuring.

He is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Africa Rising Capital, a South African investment and financial advisory firm active across infrastructure finance, energy, mining, capital raising and institutional advisory. In 2023, Africa Rising Capital partnered with Standard Bank in the landmark R20.386 billion Republic of South Africa sovereign Al-Ijara Sukuk, issued across four tenors. The transaction represented the first sovereign rand-denominated Al-Ijara Sukuk on the African continent and established an important domestic benchmark for Sharia-compliant infrastructure and sovereign financing.

Earlier in his career, Simisani served as Chief Executive Officer of iLima Mining and Strategic Investments and formed part of the leadership of the iLima investment group. The group developed a portfolio across infrastructure, construction, mining, energy and property, including investments in Group Five Limited, Bombela Concession Company on the Gautrain rail concession and the Imbumba Aganang concession for the Department of Foreign Affairs headquarters. He was also a principal of the iLima Portland Consortium, which participated in PPC’s broad-based ownership programme.

His mining experience includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of Techshed Investments, the owner of the Happy Valley gold mine in Zimbabwe, where is was responsible for the mine’s operational and investment programme. Simisani holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Geology, combining financial structuring experience with a technical understanding of mineral assets and mining operations.

At Radah Dynamics, Simisani provides strategic guidance on infrastructure concessions, sovereign and corporate Sukuk, project and structured finance, mining investment, institutional capital mobilisation and the development of bankable infrastructure programmes across Africa.
